Walk It With a Builder's Eye

Most agents get their license because they want the commission checks. I won't pretend I'm not in this to make a living too. But the real reason I do this is my background.

My dad has been a general contractor my whole life, building custom homes. My first job as a kid was cleaning up his wood piles. Then he put me on framing. Over the years I learned how to build a house and how to finish it right. I've completely finished the basements in both homes I've owned, done a long list of remodels, and taken a fix-and-flip from rough to sold.

I also studied geography at BYU with an emphasis in urban and rural city planning, so I understand zoning, what you can and can't build on a lot, and how approvals move through a city.

What that means for you on a new build: I can read a floor plan and a lot, spot a shortcut in the framing, tell you which upgrades are worth it, and make sure your inspections happen before the drywall goes up. The builder's rep works for the builder. I work for you, and the builder pays my fee.
